Dr. Paul Ciechanowski, a co-founder of Janus, has transitioned from Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). In this role, Paul is responsible for driving innovation, clinical technology optimization, and external-facing activities with customers, investors, and other partner organizations. Paul will continue to spearhead our companywide philosophy founded on the fundamentals of Collaborative Care, leveraging his years of experience as a pioneer of CoCM, involvement with clinical trials, and extensive work at the intersection of chronic conditions and mental health. Paul will continue to drive our data analytics activities, including proactive “impact analytics” (identifying populations for care), as well as outcomes analytics, encompassing mental health measures, physical health measures, total cost of care, and ROI.
Dr. Andres Barkil-Oteo now serves in the dual role of CMO of Janus Healthcare Partners and President of our multi-state medical group, Janus Healthcare of Florida PA. In this capacity, Andres oversees the activities of the clinical team, including clinical policies, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practices. Since late 2024 when Andres joined us, he has been an exceptional partner both in terms of his direct clinical contribution, as a psychiatric consultant, and also with respect to overall program development as Medical Director. His strong experience in CoCM at leading health systems positions Andres to help Janus continue to scale the business with unwavering quality and attention to patient outcomes.
Ben Hillyard, LCMHC serves as Vice President, Clinical Practice Success and Business Development. Ben joined the team at Janus in May, bringing deep experience as a founder/owner of a successful behavioral health practice, a thought-leader and ambassador of the Collaborative Care model, and an expert in the design and implementation of technology solutions, all of which will help us accelerate COCM program delivery and development at Janus. In this role, Ben oversees the clinical leadership team to drive continuous improvement in clinical practice, with emphasis on coaching and development. On the business development side, Ben’s deep experience with Collaborative Care and practice development positions him well to expand our relationships with partner practices and patient populations.
